Professional Profile
Dr Steele completed her Psychology undergraduate degree at Lancaster University in 2011, before completing a masters degree through the University of Manchester in Cognitive Brain Imaging in 2013. She conducted research focusing upon dopaminergic medication effects in those with Parkinson’s Disease. Dr Steele has worked in the NHS since 2014 in various clinical positions across inpatient, outpatient and community mental health and acquired brain injury settings.
Dr Steele then went on to qualify and complete her clinical doctorate at the University of Manchester in 2019, with her doctoral thesis focusing upon a formulation-based approach to managing behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. She then began working in the Clinical Neuropsychology department at Salford Royal Hospital. Dr Steele completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology through the University of Glasgow in 2022 and is currently working towards the specialised Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN).
Dr Steele is a keen researcher and is regularly involved in service development work, particularly around functional neurological conditions. She has also lectured on the Manchester, Liverpool and Lancaster doctoral training courses.
