Professional Profile
Having qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2009, and as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in 2016, Dr Makin has been with the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences in the Northern Care Alliance since 2019. Prior to this, she has worked in regional neuro hospitals in Newcastle and Liverpool (The Walton Centre).
Dr Makin is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, delivering neuropsychological support for outpatients via a Lifestyle Medicine group and in community neurorehabilitation. She provides consultation, supervision and line management for colleagues. She delivers teaching at Manchester and Liverpool universities on their Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programmes. She is a research supervisor at Liverpool University.
